Emlagh Lodge, Daly's House

Have any of you stayed at the Emlagh Lodge in Dingle, or Daly's House in Doolin? I have reservations at each B and B next March, and like what I see on Trip Advisor, but wondered if anyone on this board had any actual things to share from staying at either place?

THANKS

We have stayed with Susan Daly on numerous occasions. She is a joy. She takes an interest in your plans, needs etc. She's very convenient to her deceased fathers World famous Pub  Gus O'Connors( about a 200 yard walk). She has 2 houses next to each other. She serves a GRAND Breakfast and is very reasonable. Tell her Tony Ryan said hello.

Bertrand,

I have not stayed at Emlagh Lodge but have inspected it and found it to be sparkling clean, in a good location and it has a nice host. The rooms that I saw were small to medium in size and the views of Dingle Harbor were great.

I have not had the opportunity to visit Daly's House but Tony has provided you with his opinion on it. Take a look at my Lodgings page for lots of other options.

If you want to feel as if you are staying the home of a doting aunt, stay at Susan Daly's B&B. She is one of the most fantastic hostess I have had the pleasure of meeting. She is quite knowledgeable about the area and will give you excellent tips on things to see & do that you might not consider on your own. Being so close to Gus O'Connor's is also quite a good deal, especially after a late night at the pub.

Enjoy your adventure in March!

Bertrand,

We stayed at Emlagh Lodge this past summer and it was our FAVORITE B&B.  It was small and quiet (4 rooms) and sparkling clean.  Our view over the harbor was unbelievable.  It is within a few minutes walk to town via a small path along the harbor.  Maggie was a great hostess and spent a good amount of time talking with us.  She is also a professional chef, so breakfast was outstanding (order the smoked salmon!!!).  We will definitely stay @ Emlagh Lodge again...for a longer stay!!!

Shawn

I've stayed at Emlagh Lodge in Dingle. Enjoyed my stay very much. Had a nice view of the harbor from my room. Has the best Salmon for breakfast!
