Hey all - we just got back from our trip to Ireland - we had a great time and what made the trip even more wonderful is that my boyfriend and I got engaged while we were there.  He asked me on our last night in Galway city in the middle of High Street in front of Fallen Sweater Shop (or whatever the name of the tourist/sweater shop on the corner is).

Unfortunately, it wasn't until we were driving out of the city that I realized I never got a picture of that spot.  I was hoping someone may have a picture of that area - or would be willing to take a picture if they are going - and send it to me. 

He asked me at night when the street was all lit up, so ideally I would like to have a picture taken during the evening, but would be thrilled with any image I could get my hands on.

Hi, KLyn:

How romantic!  Congratulate your fiance for me.  (I was brought up to believe it is in bad taste to congratulate the bride to be, as it should be assumed that HE is the lucky one!!!)

Anyway, in the event that no one has the image you are wanting, I will gladly try to take a photo for you when we go in May.  I'll write down the location and make it a magical task!!!

any luck yet in finding the photo you want?
i live in galway and i will be downtown tomorrow evening.
i can take it then but i am not a master at the posting of images.

Kathy - thank you so much! I would be very appreciative.  My email address is KLyn316@msn.com.  Sorry it's taken me so long to respond, I've been playing catch up with work and school since we got back from our trip.

I remember I could see a Bagel Bar from where we were and that the pub on the diagonal corner served a lot of microbrews. 

it was at the intersection of Quay St/High St and Cross Street - my back was to the sweater shop and I was looking down Quay Street.  Hope that helps - thanks again!
