AIR TRAVEL QUESTION HELP !!

Ok. This is a basic and to some stupid question but it is my first time to travel outside of the USA. We are booked on American Airlines to fly LAX to CHicago and then Chicago to Dublin. When we leave LAX do we go to the regular terminal for domestic flights or do we go to the INTERNATIONAL terminal?? So do we get to the airport 2 hours early or 3?? Help appreciated... getting thru on phone to live person is a LONG WAIT ... Thanks !

Go to American's terminal 4.  AA has their own seperate international check-in line there.  The Bradley international terminal is for mostly non-US airlines that have 1 or 2 flights a day at most.  I would plan on getting there 3 hrs in advance which will give you time to find the correct lines plus the AA international line for coach can be long.  WHat's an extra hour if it saves you from causing your vacation to start off with extra stress by running late?

Thanks for your HELP !! We will definitely plan on getting to LAX 3 hours early- we don't mind people watching and just hanging out. I agree rather get there early than stress that I won't be where I need to be.. THANKS!! smile
