My Frommers books said a person can walk the walls of the city in half an hour. It said the walls were about a mile around and 18 feet thick. I was wondering how high the walls are? Depending on how much time we have at the city I may walk some of the wall. I would like to at least get a picture of me on the walls!
When we are in Derry this is what we will be doing: guided walking tour around central Derry, which will include the Guildhall, St. Columbs Cathedral, the Diamond and 16th century city walls. Spend some time in the Tower Museum with its local history exhibits. After a look around on your own, return to your lovely hotel in Limavady so that you may relax or use the sport and spa facilities before dinner in Greens Restaurant.
Jessica, I am really interested in your trip report. We are including NI this time for the first time (except for Belleek). We're doing a Derry Walls tour, so will be waiting to hear your take on it.
