Bed And Breakfast availabilty

I've booked a couple of flights into Dublin on 13th July. Returning to Liverpool on the 15th. We intend to hire a car for the weekend.

I was wondering if I can take the chance of just turning up and finding a Bed and Breakfast for a couple of nights. Or do I need to pre-book somewhere.

It would be nice to turn up in a picturesque seeside village somewhere and find a B&B.

Ian,

You want to visit Ireland on a July weekend (high season) and stay in a quaint seaside village. So does everyone else! You would be well-advised to choose where you want to stay and make reservations now. Reserve your car in advance also.

I agree it would be nice just to breeze in and find a perfect B&B in a beautiful location. That is a fantasy in July. Another time of year, yes. July, no!

Hello Michele,

Well I wasn't sure. That's why I asked the question. So now i'll do some research and start making some phone calls.

Thanks for your advice.

Ian

Ian,

I just wanted to make the point about the reservations. Many people don't take some comments seriously. I don't want you to be disappointed in Ireland. Go to my "Lodgings" page for my personal recommendations on good places to stay. It will help with your choices.
