My first trip was with brendan travels. We took a tour. After looking over the tours, they all go to the same locations that we already saw.. :( Also, the prices are outrageous.
There are four of us traveling to Ireland. We would like to go without spending $10,000 (that's with air included). Is it possible for four people to go to ireland for a week for about 8,000, air included? If not, could three people do it for this price? Remember, I am flying out of Las Vegas, Nevada.... from desert to paradise.....

Michele, I have your book, the newest date is 2005. Is there a huge change from my version to the newest one?
I think my 2005 book will be fine. A few B&Bs have either closed or retired but you can always get updates here on the forum. My "Lodgings" page will give you new choices.
Trip prices (especially airfare) will depend on time of year. Obviously high season will mean high prices. I suggest you start by checking airfares. Next you need to check the price of car rentals. Generally, B&Bs are charging between 35 - 45 euro per person. I have a currency calculator on my "Money" page.
There are ways to budget and save money while in Ireland. One of your biggest expenses while there will be food and lodgings. Staying put at an accommodation for a few days can mean a price break especially off-season. Many hotels have mid-week or weekend breaks and special offers that include B&B and a dinner for a much lower price than doing it a day at a time. If you are 55 + you can inquire about "Golden Breaks". Check this website: http://www.ireland.ie/Offers.aspx
Randy, Have you considered the self-catering option? In our 3 Irish trips my wife and I have spent many weeks in a variety of self-catering accommodations in many locations. We like the the independence and freedom afforded by this option. We take day trips and eat in restaurants when we please. With only 2 of us travelling I am sure there are still substantial savings; with 3 or 4 I'm sure the economics would be even more appealing. We have enjoyed our stays in B&B's, Guesthouses and Hotels but our best experiences have happened out of "our home for the week". Stewart
Good idea. I also enjoy self-catering and it can be very cost-effective when sharing with others. Only problem is my husband expects a full Irish breakfast...and I'm the cook!
