ring of kerry lodging

Hi-  we will be leaving dingle peninsula (Monday) and driving the ring of kerry-  planning on going to kinsale on thursday-  so we need to book 2 nights-  should I drive all the way to kenmare and stay there or do you suggest staying somewhere in the middle of  the "Ring"?  {valentia/ caherdaniel/ waterville I see are all in between}-  or should we do ring of kerry in 1 day and then go on to kinsale on wed?  thank you so much for your help

I highly recommend staying in Killarney.  Michelle has arranged a special offer for her readers and forum members at Loch Lein Country House Hotel . Just mention Michelle's name or IrelandYes.com when making your reservations.

My wife and I stayed here three nights about 2 weeks ago and I can't say enough about this place.  Wonderful accomodations, great service, beautiful scenery, and I can't say enough about Paul the owner.  He is the best I have seen when it comes to meeting his customers needs.  If I sound like I am singing his praises, I am.  We were so impressed with the place that we stayed an extra night that we had not planned.

Michael,

The Ring of Kerry can be done in one day. If you would like to do something different and actually want to stay on the ring try Harbour Hill (small B&B) outside Cahirciveen or Brookhaven in Waterville.

Chuck's recommendation of Loch Lein in Killarney is excellent. If you prefer to stay in Kenmare go to my Lodgings page for options.

All of the above recommendations will work for you. It just depends on how leisurely you want the ROK to be and whether you prefer one-night stays between Dingle and Kinsale or a 2-night stay.

Michele
