While staying at Ocean View, I mentioned that I had booked there based on YOUR recommendation and that you had told me to be sure to say, "Hello". As Helena (Cunningham) and I were discussing your book, I asked if she had seen your write up for her place. Upon hearing that she had NOT, I lent her my copy to peruse while we were out traveling for the day. She seemed quite impressed with your attention to detail and seemed genuinely pleased with your opinion.
Just wanted to let you know that she made a copy of the write up on Ocean View and said something about having your rec incorporated into her web-site. Dunno if you would consider that a good thing, or if it might engender copywrite issues, so I thought I would let you know.
And, YES, I did, in fact take your GuideBook WITH me. Mostly for the directions to theDark Hedges, but also because there were some 'Open' days in my itinerary that I hadn't covered with reservations.

I hope you enjoyed your stay at Ocean View. I sent Helena an email with the review of her B&B shortly before it was published. I also stopped by her B&B to drop off a copy of my book but she was not open yet and no one was at home. So I'm glad that she finally got to see a copy of my book with her B&B in it.
Thanks for letting me know. Many B&Bs will take a quote from my book for their websites and I don't mind that at all. It is called "fair use". So I forsee no problems. But I do appreciate the head's up.
I saw your photos of the Dark Hedges. Have they started cutting the trees yet? There was a big controversy about the thinning out of diseased trees there. It is a shame they have to do that but I can see where it could be a problem. I hope you liked Bregagh Road. I know my directions sound weird but they must have worked because you found it! I hope my book helped a bit.
I very much enjoyed Ocean View, though I'm not a huge fan of the location of the turn off -- I had a couple of 'close calls' due mostly to the rainy weather / foggy haze as the view of the corner is a BIT obscured.
MOST of my interaction at Ocean View was with Helena's daughter. She was whom I made my reservations with and it was she who checked us in. I didn't actually meet Helena until breakfast. While I will admit that Helena was very pleasant, her daughter was an absolute DOLL. Very helpful and personable. Reminded me a bit of my daughter when she was about that age.
Dunno about any tree trimming of the Hedges, but they DID look a bit sparse in places. We drove all the way INTO the Golf Club and the overgrowth there was MUCH denser and darker, so maybe they HAVE removed some. I had a BIT of confusion with the directions, but reasoned that the "veering right when in doubt" meant to turn right at the "T" intersection and from thereon it was a 'straight shot'.
Incidently, one of the crossroads that you go straight through is actually the B147. If you turned East there, it is only a kilometer or so back into the 'center' of Armoy and the A44. If you stay straight at THAT intersection, there is a Protestant Church about another kilometer East with a Round Tower beside it. The gate was closed but I managed to pull in far enough off the road to get out and snap a few pix.
On the way to theDark Hedges, I pulled into Lime Park and walked around the grounds with my camera. I was VERY impressed by their private Wind Generator AND the buildings and grounds. I can see why you recommend the place for self-catering. It truely IS remarkable.
I really am working on a trip report, honest! I'll try to get something up in the next few days.

My husband and I really enjoyed our week at Limepark. Melanie and John are lovely hosts and even let me use their computer to check my email when the library was closed. I was in Ned's Loft, which was a one-bedroom unit with a king bed. It is often hard to find one-bedroom self-catering. My other favorite unit was called Dark Horse because it has its own private patio. Maybe some time you will get to stay. Melanie is also very flexible about dates and renting for partial weeks.
