My husband and I are traveling at the end of October to visit our 21 year old daughter who is doing a semester in London. The three of us will travel to Ireland during our visit. We will leave London on a Tuesday evening and need to return the following Saturday. She has plenty of time to see "big city" life and culture in London; we'd like to see the real beauty of Ireland, but don't have a lot of time. We were hoping to see Cliffs of Moher and Ring of Kerry, but would like to do tours instead of renting a car so we can all enjoy the views and avoid stress... any suggestions for an itinerary, travel suggestions, places to stay...any and all opinions are welcome and much appreciated!!
Welcome to my forum! With limited time in Ireland and taking public transportation you need to choose carefully. Killarney would make an excellent base. There are many day tours available from there and you can see the Ring of Kerry, Dingle and the beautiful areas around Killarney.
I suggest you fly into Kerry Airport, stay right near town so you can walk in and enjoy!
