Suggestions: Trip with small child

Hi!

My wife, 18-month-old daughter and I are planning a trip to Ireland in November for 10 days over Thanksgiving.

We plan on starting with three days in Dublin (Westin Dublin) and then moving to Cork for two more days (Fota Island Sheraton). While in Cork, we were planning on making some day trips out, playing it by ear.

The next three days are the question mark. We were thinking about working our way up to Belfast for a couple of days.

We then head back to Dublin for the day before our departure.

So... any recommendations or suggestions for places to stay in Belfast or the Northern part of Ireland? We're renting a car, so we're not worried about driving. My wife and I are experienced European travellers (the kid is a new wrinkle, but we can manage).

Any advice would be appreciated.

olson,

Belfast is too far to accomplish from Cork. Instead I recommend Killarney or Kenmare. In November there will be more available by way of restaurants, lodgings, etc. in Killarney. Go to my "Lodgings" page for suggestions on where to stay.
