Hello, Michelle and group!

I am back again on this board after being absent for a couple of years. We were planning a trip to Ireland and ended up having to postpone, due to my elderly mother's health. We were going for our 35th anniversary, but now it is our 37 1/2th anniversary. Lol. And mom is 95 and doing well!  I just ordered your book a few minutes ago!

Ok, my question is: How soon should I book a car? We have our airline tickets and are going Sept 3-20!   YEA!

I usually book my car close to LAST.

First, I book my airfare, then I 'FIRM UP' (as much as possible) my routing and trip plan -- PARTICULARLY if Dublin factors into the equation.

Only THEN, do I begin the Car Hire Shopping Process...

But MAYBE, I do it that way, ONLY because Car Hire in Ireland is usually such an unpleasant and odious task ..... cry cry furious cry cry

I'm glad to hear your trip is back on track. I generally book my car about a month in advance. You have a bit of a wait.
