Accomodation

Hi everyone,
Has anyone stayed at Cill Bhreac House or Harbour Nights in Dingle? We cant get accomodation at Emlag Lodge unfourtunately and was wondering about these two places.
Any suggestions as where to stay in Dooling?

Thank all for all the wonderful information and help
Linda H

Have not stayed at Cill Bhreac House, but have heard good things.  Am sure it is nice, as it is often talked about.

I enjoyed Daly's House in Doolin. Easy walk to the famous Gus O'Connor's Pub. Good time and a nice location.

Ask for Susan Daly if you e-mail her.

Susan,

Try Tower View or Dunlavin in Dingle. I also like Clooshmore House but they don't have a website and you would have to phone them for reservations.

In Doolin try Cullinan's or O'Connor's Farmhouse.

Thanks so much Michele. I did try O Connors and Cullinans but they were a bit over our budget because of the Bank Holiday for the night that we are there. We managed to find accomodation at Duhblin House with Joan & Martin Reilly. It looks really nice and they are only charging us 35 euros for a twin room.
I am going to post the rest of my plans and look so forward to your response. This is truly and amazing site and I am really going to miss all the research and discussions with all of you once our trip is planned.
As I said before, I wish there were more people like yourselves who take such and interest in their heritage and are so passionate about what they do.

Thank you once again for the most amazing site and forum.

Thanks Sidz. Going to try that. Have you heard about Harbour Nights in Dingle.
Where would you suggest to stay in Killarney that is withing the 35 euro price range and within walking distance to town. I know that this is asking alot but we have to watch budget...........

Thanks for all your wonderful advise

Linda,

If you are still looking for lodging in Dingle, I would suggest Blooming Wildflower Cottage. It is at town centre and right on the water.

In Killarney, Copper Kettle is a very nice budget B&B. The rates are a slightly higher than the 35 euro though. It will be difficult to find anything in Killarney at the 35 euro rate. I'll keep searching my notes and files though to see what I can find.

I use a laminated tri-fold map that I purchased at Barnes & Noble here. I loved it because it was easy to fold up and was fairly well detailed. I will pull it out tonight and post the name here. I will admit to not using it as often as I probably should have, as I found that being "faery-led" provided the opportunity for some great memories.

Linda,

Make sure Duhblin House is charging 35 euro for the room not 35 per person. Most places charge per person.

Best of Luck, Joan

Linda,

In addition to taking Joan's advice be sure that once you make your inquiries and choose a B&B that you confirm with a credit card to hold the room. Just making an inquiry does not a reservation make.

Thanks all of you.
We are budgeting on 35 euros per person. (would hate to think what I would get for 35 per room.........) I have sent credit card information to comfirm the bookings that I have made. Thanks for that.
I have to finalize this trip as I leave for Europe 2 weeks from today. Ireland is the last leg of our trip. I have earned a Med Cruise for hubby and I thru the company that I work for so I have so much to look forward to.
YOu may not believe this, but I am more excited about Ireland than any other part of our trip.

Regards
Linda

Oh, Linda, we will believe it! We are the Ireland Fanatics on this board!

The only request we have for "payment" is a trip report when you return--with photos, if possible.
