Back from Ireland

Hi All,
I am back from my amazing trip to Ireland and it was so spectacular. I am going to post a detailed report here next week. Just getting settled back into work etc.All the planning and research on this site was really worth it.Used a GPS and it was such fun. We would drive down any road that looked interesting and knew that we could never get lost.Gave us such a sense of freedom.Great to find way back to BB. Weather was fantastic. We were so lucky. Had sunshine and hardly any rain.I believe that is rather unsual. I cant wait to plan my next trip to Ireland. People are so amazing and friendly. I think I fell in love with this beautiful country. Thanks for all your wonderful advise. Talk soon.

So glad your trip was so great. We are planning to go in August. You mentioned a GPS, and I am hoping to use my own in a rental car in Ireland. It would plug into the lighter of the car. Is that the norm? even in Ireland or should I plan on using a portable one?
Thanks Shan

Hi Shan,

We hired a GPS from Europcar and it plugged into the lighter in the car. If you bring one from another country, just make sure that you download the relevant information for the country that you visiting. As I said before, the GPS was invaluable and I would never travel without on in the future.

Have an amazing time. You wont have to try very hard though. Just being there is amazing on its own.

Regards
Linda
