Hi Everyone,

Recently the Irish Times changed their policy and instead of charging a subscription now offers content free online: www.IrishTimes.com If you previously subscribed you should get a refund.

Updated!!    Ughcry, just read it for only 10 minutes with these results
Petro going up 20% in Sept.
Aer Lingus increasing fares for some routes.
Did the conversion currency chart for 400 US bucks, get back only 199 Euro.

Can someone cut us a break for once.weirdface
Sorry to vent like this Michele

This is not great news, but at least I can tell you that your currency conversion was thankfully wrong. At today's exchange rate you get 254.863 Euros for 400 U. S. Dollars. That's nothing to be excited about, but it is better than 199.! biggrin

Gary,

Perhaps the conversion was for Northern Ireland. It sounds right for it. You can go to www.oanda.com for very accurate conversions.

The fare increases don't just affect Ireland, but the whole world. As do the petrol prices. I'm afraid we are feelling the economic pinch everywhere. The economy always goes through cycles. Unfortunately this one is down. All we can do is hang on and ride the roller coaster. biggrin
