Dingle Loop vs Ring of Kerry?

Hi, If you had your choice, and time was not an issue, would you do drive the Dingle Loop or Ring of Kerry? I'm thinking I may want to do the Dingle Loop to avoid all the buses on the Ring. Any thoughts?

Thanks! Maggie

Maggie,

If time were not an issue I would do both. Although most people who can only choose one would choose Dingle. It covers less territory and packs a lot into a small space.

The Beara Peninsula is where to go if you do not want buses. It is a wonderful, peaceful place with fantastic scenery.

Maggie, my husband and I went on all three and our favorite was, like Michele said -- wonderful, peaceful with fantastic scenery, Beara Peninsula. And if you have time, Dingle is really neat with lots of good photo shots. Youngka

Ring of Kerry is quite nice, but also quite overrated, as many on this forum will state.  Other areas are even nicer, with much less traffic and gridlock.  I concur -- Dingle, Beara -- both better than R of K any day.
