Packing question...

Hi everyone, I leave this coming Monday (9/29) for a 16 day dream trip to Ireland with my parents. The trip is low key, low maintenance (with the exception of the Ashford Castle!) I know we need to dress up for dinner at the Ashford, but wanted some input from others on attire...

So far I have two pairs of jeans, a couple pair of sweatpants, two pairs of sneakers, numerous long sleeve t-shirts some short sleeve. I also have a couple of "nice" shirts I can pair with my jeans. I have one sweatshirt (grey zip up). Oh, yes, and I bought a great light weight rain coat with a hood. Of course underwear, bras, socks...

I plan to wash my clothes mid way through my trip. Am I bringing enough? Am I missing something??? I want to travel light.

I appreciate any input. Thank you! Maggie (O'Meara) Cosgrove

Maggie,

I always take a pair of lightweight cotton blend slacks. Jeans can take a long time to dry if you get them wet. The cotton blend slacks don't take much room and will dry quickly. Black is my prefered color.

And don't forget a washcloth.

Great suggestions. I actually do have a comfy pair of black cotton pants, which I'll put in my bag along with a face cloth! Thanks so much! Maggie

I'm sure you are on your way to the airport. Have a fantastic trip. Let us know how it goes when you return.
