We leave Thursday!! Last minute questions...

hello!

I have enjoyed lurking on this board and am really looking forward to my trip.

Here is our itinerary:

10/10 - arrive Shannon airport; drive to Ashford Castle, splurge on dinner, celebrate my Mom's 60th birthday, spend the night...
10/11 - 12 - spend two nights in Galway at the Park House Hotel
10/13 - Cliffs of Moher, spend the night in Bunratty at the Headley Courtyard

10/14 - depart Shannon

Sadly, it is a very short trip - but at least we get to go, right?

Most likely we will be too tired from the flight to do much sightseeing upon arrival...BUT, IF we are up to it - can anyone suggest a more scenic route to the Ashford Castle and where to stop for a meal etc?

Any other suggestions?!?

Kate,

You already have the scenic route accounted for on 10-13. You might want to stop in Galway City for a look around and a bite to eat and then proceed on to Cong.

Since you only have one night at Ashford, I'd focus on getting to Cong and enjoying being pampered. Your trip south will take in some amazing scenery.
