Splurge Stay Near Kilkenny?

My husband and I will be ending our Ireland vacation in (or near) Kilkenny this April.  We're staying in B&Bs up until that point and want to conclude with a luxurious "country manor" stay.  We're considering Mount Juliet - can anyone recommend another property to compare?

Welcome to my forum! I think that in the Kilkenny area perhaps Lyrath Estate could be compared to Mount Juliet. Have fun choosing which one you prefer.

Also check out Knocktopher Abbey. They have turned it into a nice hotel/resort, we stayed there a week in 2002 when my dad had timeshare points to burn :) It really was an Abbey, and is beautiful - lovely grounds and a great manager (at the time).
