Waterford Crystal Update

Waterford Crystal has been shut down since January. But its new owners have stepped in to rescue the ailing company. According to news sources "The deal with KPS Capital will preserve 176 jobs of a total of 480 in Waterford."

Oh no! I knew they were closing I just didn't know they already had. That was one of the important stops on our trip. I suppose I need to do better research. Any news of the tour opening back up?

Michelle, 

Waterford was recently purchased and they are retaining a skeleton staff. I suggest you email them or phone them while in Ireland to see if the factory tour will be operating while you are there. That is really the only way to ascertain it. Things are changing rapidly.
