We just returned from a fact finding trip to St Louis, tracing Keith's "Irish Roots". IT was a well worthwhile trip.
When visiting the cemetery where his great grand parents are buried, we were surprised and amazed to see their gravestone shows the County where each were born!
Now we need Cowboy Craic's help. We know that his great-grandfather , David Coleman, and great-great aunt, Mary Coleman, who came over with them were both born in Co Mayo. We also know that his great grandmother, Margaret Kimmitt, was born in Co Rosscommon. David and Margaret were married in Nantwich, Cheshire, England in early 1864. Their oldest daughter was born there in late November 1864, and they came to the US sometime in 1865.
Can you help us with a "next step" to see if we can trace them in Ireland...and see if we possibly have any family still there?
"May 8 - head to Rossaveel to grab the ferry to Inis Mor (Two nights lodging - Man of Aran Cottage) - finally meeting up with Youngka!!! Inis Mor will not be the same after we are done!
