Dublin to Glendalough -- Sally Gap? Wicklow Gap?

Welcome home, travelers!

I am in the first week of my trip smile and having a wonderful time, of course.  We are driving from Dublin to Glendalough, and then on to points south after our stay there.  We are not interested in visiting Powerscourt, so I'm thinking about going via Blessington...?  Just wondering if one "Gap" is more scenic than the other, or if weather makes any difference...?

The Dublin Airport situation sounds awful disbelief and I'm looking forward to getting out into the country.  Wish me luck!

Thanks --
Marsha

Marsha,

Thanks for taking the time to check in on the forum while you are in Ireland. Both Wicklow and Sally Gap are rugged and scenic. Weather (such as fog) will always make a difference. Near Blessington is Russborough House. Very interesting historic house with wonderful plaster ceilings and paintings.

Have fun in the country.

Michele
