We will be travelling to Ireland in November this year (from Australia) and will be based in Dublin, with day trips out of there. I have a few questions I hope you can help us with.
1) What can we expect the weather to be? I know it will be late autumn, will it likely be raining/snowing? Average Temps etc.
2) Roughly how much would a taxi cost in euro from Dublin Airport to Sandymount, we are staying at the Mount Herbert Hotel.
3) Are there any security restrictions regarding photographing trains at railway stations?, as my brother and I are both Rail Enthusiasts.
Welcome to my forum. In November the days are very short in Ireland. Depending on if you are there near the beginning or end of the month, you may find it getting dark around 4:30 pm. Plan your activities accordingly. Snow is rare in Ireland but rain is always on the radar. Go to my Weather page for the answer to all your weather questions. Be sure to scroll down the page for complete info.
A rough estimate for the taxi from Dublin Airport to your hotel is about 35 - 40 euro.
I don't know of any restrictions on photos at the rail stations. However if you need a definite answer I suggest going to this site and emailing them: http://www.irishrail.ie/home/
