Back Home Early

Hello everyone!  Made it back from our trip earlier than expected, but had a wonderful time while there!  I will get my thoughts and notes together and be writing about our trip soon.  It was really nice to meet Bit and have time to talk!  Sorry I was unable to meet you, Michele, wrong place at the wrong time - will have to try another year.  Thanks for everyones help, youngka  Oh!  3 days of sunshine out of 20......but we loved it

Youngka,

Welcome home! Hope being back early doesn't mean you had any problems on your trip. It must have been wonderful meeting Bit on the Aran Islands. I met her in Bunratty. She has one impressive camera! I think I have "camera envy". wink

We will look forward to hearing about your trip when the jet-lag wears off.

Michele

Sorry to hear that you are home early -- hope all is well.

Maybe the 'SOFT' May pre-sages a warm, dry June (for a CHANGE aww aww!), this year.

Get rested and then give us all the details ...  biggrin

Karen, mo chara

Glad to hear you are safe home! Next trip you will be in the pink of health and all will be much better!

Go Raibh Mil Maith Agat for my new Avatar! You are very sneaky though, capturing a rare photo of me! I try to avoid being in front of the cameras by being the one behind them.

Still not recovered from the Jet Lag here, very disconcerting. I hope your recovery period is quicker.

Bit,

I find each time I travel the jet-lag is different. Once it took me 3 weeks to recover. I don't know what was up with that. I adjust pretty quickly when going over to Ireland (usually within a day or two). It is coming home that's the killer. And you went right back to work too.

I want to thank all of you for your comments, appreciate them a lot!   I found out 3 weeks before leaving for Ireland that I need a hip replacement, but all my doctors said, "sure, go on vacation we will see how you are when you return"  ??  Well, we decided to return early about the first week we were there; however, were not too sad, just decided to get my hip taken care of and just go back in June next year for our 6 weeks biggrin !!  We really love Ireland and I would move there tomorrow if I were 30 again!  One of my friends wrote she thought I still would smile .    LOVE the new Avatar, Bit -- you were having too much fun to realize we took it!  There is no way to tell anyone how you feel when on Inis Mor -- it is just amazing.......  Anyway, thanks for writing and sorry we missed seeing you Michele -- one day our paths will cross  youngka

Youngka,

Sorry to hear that you need a hip replacement. But they can do wonders nowadays. I have a friend who has had two hip replacements and is a dynamo now. Hope that is the case for you too.

Keep us informed of your progress and we will send you get well wishes.

Youngka,

It was some time ago so I don't quite remember. It was at least a couple of months. It takes time for a full recovery and to regain your balance and strength.

Michele -- thanks for your note. I just want to get it over so I can get back in shape and take off again for Ireland smile  Dave and I plan on returning in June 2010 and finish our trip-- we will use self catering next year also.  Know you and Bit had fun visiting, so many on the forum are meeting up this year -- neat!  I understand that you may still be over there?  Hope the good weather is holding up for you.  youngka

Youngka,

I'm back from Ireland but was in Lakeland FL for my nephew's graduation. There's no place like home.
