Hello from Kinsale

Hi Michelle and all

Currently in Kinsale and it is a beautiful sunny warm day. Had a great late night of Craic last night. Hit 5 of Kinsale's Pubs and heard a wide array of music. Everyone is soooo friendly!!!

Spent the last 2 nights in Avoca in County Wicklow and definitely worth the trip. Have been blessed so far with perfect weather.

On the way from Avoca to Kinsale stopped for a restroom break at a Pub along the way. We were not in the Pub 2 seconds when the locals bought all 7 of us a drink, they said they love to have visitors so our quick stop turned out to be an hour and a half long. We left with some fond memories to cherish and some very interesting stories I am sure we will tell for years to come.

Will fill you in when I can.

Thanks everyone for all the help and advice.

Barbara

Hi Barbara!! Thanks for having us travel with you by email smile   How long did it take to drive from Avaco to Kinsale? Also, don't you just love Kinsale, such a pretty beach front town. That is so neat of the locals. Ireland is just a super friendly place.   Looking forward to your next email...youngka

Barbara,

What a great experience. I have never in all my travels in Ireland been offered a free drink when I went to use the toilet! Talk about the friendly Irish. Glad you are having sunshine. Long may it last.

Hi Michelle and all

In Dingle now, went to Blasket Islands and Slea Head today. Still beautiful weather we have not had a drop of rain, actually got sun burned.

We spent sometime in Kenmare and I agree with you Michelle it is one of my favorite towns and the food is so good. Youngka thanks for the recommendation to Prego's, very good. Is there bad food in Kenmare??? I really enjoyed that town and all the food.

My only problem is I don't want to go home!!!!

Off to Dick Mack's

Barbara, ya know, there probably isn't bad food almost anywhere, glad you liked Prego. We always liked Kenmare. Met some really nice folks there. You are seeing a lot of neat places, have fun! Each time we are about to leave and go home, I ask my husband why we can't move to Ireland -- for at least 6 months, he still says    no  yawn  youngka

Barbara,

Kenmare is a special place with special people. I'm glad you enjoyed my favorite small town in Ireland. Hope the sun is still shinning on your trip.

Hello Barbara,
Sounds like you are having a very memorable trip! Free drinks is better than getting hit up for 50 Euros like we did. (Although you can't blame a man for trying I guess.) I'll be anxious to read your trip report when you return.
I wish I was in Dick Mack's with you!
Kelly
