Been back a bit over a week. Jet lag fatigue has beaten me senseless, this trip, coupled with the frentic pace of reacclimating to the "real" world. Then, there is work, where NO good deed goes unpunished ....
Lots to say and am genuinely hoping to actually SAY it -- this time
Am weeding through photos and rearrainging the facts to co-incide with the physical evidence, so plan to get started shortly. In the mean-time, just have to say that the wife and I had a short, but very pleasant meet up with Granny and the Gossoons in Ennis and we also finally had the great, good fortune to connect with SiobahnP ( from FODORS and TTG) and her husband, over in Dublin.
Spent most of our two weeks in West Cork, with several visits to Killarney and East Cork, as well as the aforementioned day trip to Dublin and two days spent ranging into and out of the Midlands.
Mayhem occured. Accidents happened. Large sums of money changed hands. Only one animal was actually hurt or endagered in the making of this adventure. Touching moments transpired. Tears were shed and laughter was shared. A good time was had by most -- even the drunk that briefly accosted us (though, in a harmless enough way), in Ennis.
More will follow ...

A BIG welcome back! I know how jet lag can be. Sometimes you breeze through it and at other times it hits you hard. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. For me it is always worse coming home than going over.
You are a tease. Now you have our interest piqued. Got to hear about the mayhem the animal and the drunk. Hmmm....good book title.
Catch up and then we will be waiting for your grand report.
I know what you mean about the jetlag. I can't believe how it got me this time. Getting older I guess or maybe a little depression......I so wanted to stay, I shed a few tears myself but mostly laughter.
I have to get organized as well, I wish I woould have done a travel blog along the way as some of the others did while it was all fresh in my feeble mind.
Can't wait to hear your tales. I am still in awe of the weather, my group was mad at me for telling them not to bring shorts or sleeveless tops. Who would of thought
