TRAVEL HELP AND ADVICE

HELLO,

I AM GOING TO IRELAND THE FIRST WEEK IN SEPT FOR 8 DAYS AND NEED A LITTLE HELP.   SO FAR WE HAVE PLANNED TWO NIGHTS IN ENNIS, TWO NIGHTS IN KILLARNEY, ONE NIGHT?? THAT I NEED HELP WITH, AND TWO NIGHTS IN DUBLIN.

SO MY PROBLEM IS I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO SPEND THE NIGHT BETWEEN KILLARNY AND DUBLIN. WE ARE PLANNING ON DRIVING TO SEE BLARNEY CASTLE FROM KILLARNY THEN STOP SOMEWHERE WITHIN A HOUR OR TWO OF DUBLIN.  DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS THAT WOULD HELP US?

I WOULD LIKE EITHER TO STOP SOMEWHERE INTERESTING OR HAVE NEAT THINGS TO DO ON THE WAY

ANY AND ALL HELP IS WELCOME

THANKS biggrin

You might take a look at Kilkenny. It would fit the bill nicely, I believe. By coming across through Cahir & Cashel, You could make stops at Cahir Castle and the Rock of Cashel. That would put you in Kilkenny in the late afternoon. A few hours in the morning to explore Kilkenny and then off to Dublin.

Irelandorbust,

Welcome to my forum. Bit's suggestion of Kilkenny is good. Another alternative is Cashel. Kilkenny is a small city while Cashel is a small town. Both are about 2 to 2 1/2 hours from Dublin.
