Heels or Flats?

We are packing for our trip to Ireland.  Dublin, Kilkenny, Dingle, Kenmare, and Shannon.  Most evenings will be casual , but a few nights we will be having a nice dinner out.  Maybe Packie's in Kenmare , Chart House in Dingle and Mount Juliet House ( Thomastown) Kilkenny.

Does Mrs need to pack High Heels and a nice dress, or will slacks and flats work.  She is 5 foot 2 , and likes her heels , when dressing up..
Do I need to pack a sport coat?
Are my TopSider deck shoes okay , with cackie pants, for a night out?

thanks,

Jim,

Most places in Ireland are casual. For Packies and Chart House the attire you mentioned is fine. Which restaurant are you eating at when you are at Mount Juliet? I have eaten at the golf club and it was casual. If you are eating at the Lady Helen Dining Room I suggest you email them to find out. Johnny.lepoec@conradhotels.com

Very fancy places like Ashford or Dromoland Castles do require more formal attire, but most places in Ireland do not.
