As those of you who have been to Ireland know, the Irish are full of wit and humor. If it veers toward the naughty side they love it even more.
I took this photo on the road to Kilgarvan. When I saw it we screeched on the brakes and turned around. I was laughing so hard I could hardly take the photo. I thought everyone could use a good weekend laugh.
That is a hoot, Michele! I'll never forget the look on my Mothers face when she finally realized that our B&B Host in Doolin, Danny was using that word quite it bit in just ordinary conversation using a thick Gaelic accent!! We were a little shocked at first but laugh every time we think about it now. Of course with an Irish last name, I am the recipient of many witty Irish jokes and stories via the internet. I hope that Irish sense of humor never disappears! Dan
I know exactly what you mean. The Irish make almost anything sound good! There are different nuances to the F word in Ireland. When spelled with a U it is the extreme. When spelled with a E it is considered okay. If you have ever watched the TV series "Father Ted" where Fr. Jack continually uses the Fe** word, you know what I mean.
