Ireland 3 weeks in September

Michele, thanks to comments here and your book I've worked out an itinerary for our first visit to Ireland.

I've enjoyed both the research and subsequent interaction with my future B&B hosts.

We will rent a car through Autoeurope/Avis after our morning arrival in Dublin from Baltimore. I don't think we will have any problems with just an hour drive and then we will drop it off after our Glendalough stay.

Sept 8 & 9--Smarmore Castle

Sept 10,11 &12--Westport, Adare B&B

Sept 13   Doolin, Daly's B&B

Sept 14 & 15 Dingle, Brown's B&B

Sept 16,17,18 & 19 Kenmare, Abbey Court B&B

Sept 20 & 21 Kinsale, Landfall House

Sept 22 & 23 Kilkenny, Abbey Lodge

Sept 24 & 25 Glendalough, Riversdale House

Sept 26, 27, 28 & 29 Dublin, Trinity Capital Hotel

It's more moving around and short stays than I would like but it seems the best way if we want to include the places on my "like to visit" list

Now that I have our accommodations in place, I can research what to do and where to eat---what fun!!!    Thanks, Deborah

It looks great to me!  And 20 days in Ireland is a wonderful thing.  I personally see nothing about what you have planned that is not easilly done, and you do have enough stays or two nights and then some to make it not a rushing around type of excursion.

Deborah,

Your itinerary looks great! I think you will have a very nice trip. You have chosen some good bases for day trips.

I hope you took advantage of the discount Smarmore Castle is offering my readers? Eamon Mullen (owner of Smarmore) has written an article for my Blog. Be sure to read it for tips on things to do and see in the area.

Now you just have to wait till Sept. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Michele
