4 seniors, some golf, chauffeur driven We, four seniors, would like to hire a car and driver, play a few rounds of golf, plan an itinerary that includes Donegal and the Giant's Causeway, as well as the Ring of Kerry, Bantry Bay, Dingle, Galway, Cork, Waterford, and Dublin. Would this be possible in 10, 12, or 14 days? Would the car hire be prohibitive? Any suggestions appreciated. I'm just about to order your book!
Your plan might be possible depending on time of year. You will have to plan your itinerary carefully since golfing will take up time in each area. That means staying in various places for 2-3 days. Then there is the drive time between various destinations.
Below are some links to chauffeur-driven rental cars. You can also inquire of all the rental car agencies listed on my web site. Hiring a driver is always more expensive than driving yourselves. I suggest getting quotes and comparing rates.
Golfing trip Thanks, Michelle. Another question-is March too late to get bookings? I'm sending our travel companions to your site. We haven't really had a chance to get their input yet. We're seeing them in early March. So glad I found your helpful site.

Golfing trip OOps. Forgot to say we're planning on a May trip! Carol
March is fine for booking B&Bs, etc. The golf courses are another matter. Some of the really famous ones can be booked up a year ahead of time. So it's probably important to find out which ones you want to play, make inquiries to availability and perhaps plan an itinerary around that.
