I miscounted and came back with one less small souvenir than I intended; also would like one for myself now that I think about it. Would someone who is going soon be willing to pick them up for me (they are very small, lightweight and easy to carry and mail to me in an envelope on return)? Can you say on the forum what it is? (If not you can email me.) I may be able to point you to an online source where you can order it yourself. Unfortunately, I'm just recently back from Ireland myself and won't be going again for a while. Let's see what happens.

No problem. It's a little pin, gold colored circle about 3/4 inch diameter, with a real shamrock in the center under a plastic dome. Cost about 4.95 to 5.95 euros and I saw them in any number of gift shops. They come on a little dark green card about 2x1.5 inches. Made by Trefoil out of Waterford.
I tried "trefoil+waterford" in a search engine and got lots of hits on Girl Scouts and Waterford Crystal!

Wonderful to hear that you made contact with someone and will be getting your shamrock pins. They are all over Ireland but I have yet to see them in the catalogs I get. Loved the alliteration!

No, but a cup of that Bunratty mead would go down real good right now! Should have bought some in the duty-free shop. Just like I should have done a better count of my shamrock pins!
