Flesk Castle Update for Bill and Michele

Hi Bill and Michele,

I found Flesk Castle! Some of the locals I asked didn't even know of its existence, but I found it on my trip last week. It's down two miles or so a really narrow road from Gleneagle Hotel. Then, there is a big hill, heavily wooded and unpaved, which I took by foot and at the top is the castle. It's in bad shape, but it was really cool because it was like a secret castle (even though there was a little farmhouse next door). It was just me and some rabbits wandering around. There are signs posted saying off limits/danger, so I only walked around the outside. I wish I had a couple of million dollars to restore it, it'd be neat. Next time you are there, it's quite easy to to check out since it's only two miles from Ross Road.

Hi Ande,

Welcome back! It's great to hear that you found Flesk Castle. I'm not surprised that locals didn't know of it. I once went on a search for Lissivigeen stone circle and never found it. No one had a clue. I hope you got some good photos.

I did get some decent pictures of the castle and I even emailed them to the b&b owners who told me it wasn't there any more!
