That is not a drive that I would undertake after an international flight. A cross-country drive on any given day is an exhausting event. Dublin to Dingle, using the main routes, will take close to 5 1/2 hours. That doesn't take into consideration stops along the way for a meal, picture taking or just to shake off the jet lag and stretch.

That being said, you would be best to come via the M7...then at exit 30 take the M20 (look for signposting "Cork")...Look for the Exit signposted Tralee/Killarney...that will take you on to the N21...about 5 miles further..at another roundabout....look for N21 Tralee....This will take you into Adare...a good place to get out..take a stroll and grab a bite to eat....continue on the N21 until you reach Tralee...then look for the signposting N22(SignPosted Killgorlin N70)...continue on to roundabout  indicating N70 (signposted Dingle N86)...N86 takes you right into Dingle town.

That should get you to Dingle within your time frame, allowing for lunch and a few stops along the way.

You can also take the M7 to the M8 then to R639 headed towards Cashel & Tipperary...then grab the Limerick Road.... N24.....picking up the M7 and the Limerick bypass...then pick up the M20 for the next 6 miles or so.and then grab N21...and continue on with the directions I provided below...

That would give you the opportunity to see the Rock of Cashel.

You can get a good idea of the routes by visiting aaireland.ie or multimap.com. I prefer multimap, as it gives you the option of choosing the big blue crayon routing where it takes you  section by section in words and mapping...It also seems to be truer to real life in its driving times. To show you what I mean, I have plotted a Dublin to Dingle route via Cashel for you with multimap and again with aaireland
