RE: 3-generational trip

Eileen,

Just think of all the great shopping you can do for 360 euros! Remember that many of Dublin's museums are closed on Mondays.

It's been way too long since I've been in touch here.  Although.... I must confess, I log in every other day to see what's been happening and to keep up!!!

Joan at Access Irish Limos has put me in touch with a Jerry O'Brien of Cork Coach Hire.  He promises same quote/service.   Anyone have any thoughts or experiences with them??  Although.... I do trust Joan because of Michele's recommendation!!

I find myself moving away from the coach service I "thought" I was going to use which a friend used in the past since the company name has changed twice since October and now he wants cash up front and doesn't take credit cards!!!  Hello??  Anyone else find this extremely strange?

Was just informed yesterday via email that my reservations to Howth View in Portmarnock were cancelled due to family illness.no  Am now thinking of staying within city limits to avoid long ride in.  Anyone have any thoughts on Muckross House or Annandale House in Drumcondra??  Both claim 10 minute ride into city centre.

Have more questions to post but not the time just now.  Will be back on tonight.

Again..... Michele, especially, and everyone else that contributes..... you are fabulous!!

Eileen

Eileen,

I would go with Joan's recommendation. If Access Irish Limos is sending their business to Jerry O'Brien he must be good.

I would not deal with someone who does not take credit cards. Cash up front? WARNING! WARNING! Many businesses are on the edge. With a credit card if a company goes out of business you can at least get your money back.

If staying in Dublin city center think about some central hotels. Look at Brooks, Buswell's and the O'Callaghan group. The latter is offering some good room rates.
