Itinerary check plz!

Hi! Could you please give feedback on the following itinerary?
Arriving 7:30am Sept 24th in Shannon:
Day 1: Shannon to Cliffs/Burren
Overnight in Kilkee (The Bay View)
Day 2: To Dingle
Stay in Dingle overnight (Walsh's Townhouse)
Days 3 & 4: Killarney
Day 5: Killarney to Blarney
Tour Cobh and Cork from Blarney
Day 6: Another night in Blarney (Blarney Vale from your recommendation!)
Day 7: To Cahir - Tinsley House, or need another recommendation in the city.
Day 8: Cahir again overnight - tour Cashel
Day 9: Leave Cahir for Shannon - 3:30pm flight

So that's:
1 night Kilkee, 1 night Dingle, 2 nights Killarney, 2 nights Blarney and 2 nights Cahir.

Do-able?? I'll tell you, putting together an itinerary is no easy task!!

Sounds like a pretty good job to me!

Another option - Stay in Cashel instead of Cahir ( only 10 miles away) Sir Bill has some favorites in Cahir,so maybe he will chime in with those, and my favorite in Cashel is Dualla House.

Depending on how much you get done on your first day in the Cashel/Cahir area, Waterford & Kilkenny are each only 1 - 1.5 hrs away for a day trip.

Hi Seren,

Debbie has a good point and I also recommended, when answering your other posting, that Cashel might be a good place to stay. Debbie loves Dualla House and I concur. It is the quintessential Irish farmhouse. If you prefer to be right in town with a view of the Rock of Cashel then Rockside is a good choice.

Below are my day-by-day comments:

Arriving 7:30am Sept 24th in Shannon:
Day 1: Shannon to Cliffs/Burren
Overnight in Kilkee (The Bay View) Michele's Answer: Fine.

Day 2: To Dingle
Stay in Dingle overnight (Walsh's Townhouse) Michele's Answer: Fine. Take the ferry across the Shannon. I think that I would add another day to Dingle and take it from Blarney.

Days 3 & 4: Killarney. Michele's Answer: Good.

Day 5: Killarney to Blarney
Tour Cobh and Cork from Blarney. Michele's Answer: This is fine but Blarney is just a small village and Cork City is just a big industrial city. You could really steal a day from Blarney to add to Dingle.

Day 6: Another night in Blarney (Blarney Vale from your recommendation!) Michele's Answer: Blarney Vale is very nice but I suggest only one night in Blarney.

Day 7: To Cahir - Tinsley House, or need another recommendation in the city. Michele's Answer: Fine. See recommendations above.

Day 8: Cahir again overnight - tour Cashel. Michele's Answer: Fine.

Day 9: Leave Cahir for Shannon - 3:30pm flight. Michele's Answer: Fine but try to arrive by 12:30. You have to return your car, drop off your VAT forms and international check-in is 2 hours prior to a flight. I suggest giving yourself 1 1/2 hours to get to Shannon just to be on the safe side.

So that's:
1 night Kilkee, 1 night Dingle, 2 nights Killarney, 2 nights Blarney and 2 nights Cahir.

Do-able?? Michele's Answer: Yes. I'll tell you, putting together an itinerary is no easy task!! Michele's Answer: I know. I do it every day for a living and 99.99% of my clients are delighted with the results. It does help if you have been there 37 times!
