Angels in Limerick Toward the end of our trip, we were on our way to the Mary Browne's Burratty B&B. We eventually had to drive thru Limerick (I did know we had to cross over the Shannon River). However, with dusk setting in we got lost. I drove up to 2 young fellas crossing the street explaining that we are lost, and that there is a bridge we require to eventually get to Bunratty. They scratch there chins looking around trying to figure the quickest short cut. The one fella says "tell ya what, we'll get into our car and lead you to the bridge". We followed them and 5 minutes of driving, they pulled to the side, pointed that way and we crossed over the bridge and found our way to Bunratty. I sometimes think they where angels sent to help us find our way. God bless them. -gary the appreciative tourist
Most Irish people will go out of their way to help strangers and tourists in need of help. Basically I think it is part of their nature. It's why Ireland is renowned worldwide as one of the friendliest places to visit. I'm glad you found your "angels" and your way.

Ditto We had a similar experience in a service station in Northern Ireland with a teenager. Extremely helpful and friendly.

Re: Angels in Dublin We were lost in Dublin, looking for Temple Bar section, had a map, a kind young man and his family came by and saw that I was lost, helped me on the map, was going the wrong direction, anytime someone comes up to me like that in Europe I say to myself what's the catch, but you don't have to do that in Ireland.
