Just returned from our 2-week Ireland vacation

Hi Michele,
We returned on Monday from our 12 day Ireland vacation. Your book was a godsend! We spent 1st & last night at Bunratty Lodge, 1 night in Ballybunion at the Seashore, 2 nights in Dingle at Heatons Guesthouse, 1 night in Kenmare at Ashberry Lodge, 2 nights in Kinsale (1 night at Cehphas House & 1 night at Kilcaw House), 1 night in Tramore at Glenorney, 1 night in Kilkenny at Launard House, and 1 night in Cashel at Dualla House. I have to say our favorite B&B was Dualla House & then Glenorney.

We also attended the medieval banquent at Bunratty Castle. It was fabulous.

We only drove about 1/3 of the Ring of Kerry; however, we drove the Dingle Peninsular & the Beara Peninsular which were wonderful & not as crowded.

We will definitely go back.

Wanted to tell you about having dinner in Ballybunion at The Strand Restaurant you recommended. The owner talked with us & asked how we found her restaurant - we told her about your book. I got the book out of the car & she was going from door-to-door showing the write up to everyone. She asked if she could give me the money to order her a copy of your book. Instead I gave her the order blank out of my book & also gave her your website. Her name is Bubbles O'Riordan, Main Street, Ballybunion Co-Kerry in case you want to drop her a note. She was thrilled with your book.

Thanks for all your help.

Welcome Back!

Hi BJ,

It's wonderful to hear that you had a great trip to Ireland. Thank you so much for your kind words about my book and for stopping by to let us know how it went. It is also good to hear which B&Bs you enjoyed the most. Did you try the French toast at Glenorney? It's to die for!

Would you believe that yesterday I got a book order from Bubbles (love that name!) at the Strand Restaurant? I mailed her a copy today!

It was a pleasure helping you with your trip. Be sure to return to the forum again when you make your next trip to Ireland.

Michele :)

Yes, we had the french toast & it was wonderful. Glad to hear that Bubbles did indeed order the book.

Kinsale

Which B&B did you prefer in Kinsale: Cehphas House or Kilcaw House? We will be there in September and are trying to decide where to stay. Any favorite restaurants?
