Thanks for all your help Thanks to everyone for all your help and advice in planning our trip. We had a wonderful time and all your information was priceless. My husband thought the driving was a breeze and his golfing was great. The people are warm and friendly, the scenery just breathtaking at times. Thanks again.
Thanks so much for stopping by to tell us a little about your trip. It was a pleasure helping out. We would love to hear a few of the juicy details when and if you have the time. How was the weather? Did you find any lodgings or restaurants that you would like to recommend? Did you have a favorite town in Ireland?

succinct trip report The weather was absolutely gorgeous the first several days. After that it cooled off a little, but only had about two days with some rain (out of 12). We loved the 4 Seasons B&B in Galway. Lovely hosts and a great location for walking to town. Galway was by far the best shopping. I'm glad I read that somewhere here, so I picked up most of my gifts there. In Kenmare, we stayed at Virginia's Guesthouse. Again, wonderfully helpful hosts, quite nice rooms and a perfect location. Kenmare is a great town and from there we did quite a bit of sightseeing. We weren't too fond of Ennis and certainly did not care for our B&B there - the Rose Cottage. Mediocre rooms, smokey public rooms,,,etc. Killaloe is a great little town. Did not drive the whole Ring of Kerry, but instead took a little 21 mile interior route with beautiful scenery and only 2 other cars on the whole trip. Some of our best finds were when we were just meandering off the beaten track and not in a hurry to get from one tourist mecca to the next. Had a great meal at the Tower Hotel in Glenbeigh...who would have thought...Thanks again for all your help.
Thanks for the extra info and recommendations. I'm sure they will be of great help to others who will soon be traveling to Ireland. Hope you get to return again some day.
