I Wish I was "Inside A Irish Cottage"

Hello Michele and all of you Irish adventurers! I was just looking for an Irish calendar to put on my Christmas wish list. I remembered IrelandYes website which helped me so much in planning our family trip to Ireland.  Michelle I love the calendar "Inside A Irish Cottage"... I think that's what it's called. Lots of nice calendars. I'm putting it on my Christmas Wish List. Can pages from different calendars be mixed and matched? Also can my family put any of our Ireland photos into the calendar or am I confused? Anyway I've added that to my Christmas wish list!

I didn't know how much I'm wishing for a second trip to Ireland...and how much I missed it...til I glanced into the pages of your calendar...inside an Irish cottage...I need to be there!

How about a calendar of "Inside an Irish Pub"? Oh yes and the calendar could also play great Irish music too...wink

My first grandbaby is just learning to walk and I hope we are walking together in  Ireland someday!

Melissa,

Long time, no see! I hope you and your family are all well. Congrats on your grandbaby!

I guess you've been looking at my Irish Shop on Zazzle. I do indeed have a calendar for 2011 called "In A Irish Cottage". Thanks for putting it on your wish list.

You can actually make your own calendar on Zazzle if you want. It is very easy. Just set up an account, upload your photos and choose a template. If you want it just for your family make it a "private" item so only you can see it and no one else. Then you can purchase it yourself. I usually wait for a sale.

If you want a "special" calendar of certain images that I have in my Irish Shop, email me and I'll do one for you. Just tell me which images you want for which month.

A musical calendar sounds great. I wish Zazzle made them. I will have to suggest it. Can you imagine a Pub Calendar with a session playing? That would be fun.

Michele

Michelle, did you see the Harry Potter movies...where photos and newspapers actually have the people talking and moving like real people? How about an Irish pub calendar Harry-Potter style...with the musicians sitting around in the pub, having a Guinness...and we could turn the pages of the calendar and actually hear the Irish Celtic trad music! I especially love Irish Celtic bluegrass-style music...with a lively beat.

I have given my family the info about the Irish calendars and mugs. If they dont' get me one for Christmas or January birthday...welll....I will just come back here in January and make one up for myself!

Oh I'm getting hungry and thirsty for Ireland just talking to you! Our first trip to Ireland was a family trip. Our next trip to Ireland would either be just for my husband and I...or possibly in the future an extended family trip with grand-daughter someday. If its just my husband and I I want to stay in a wild lonely and romantic Irish cottage near the sea. Only thing is I want somebody ELSE to cook me my Irish breakfast! Maybe you know of just the right place for that...biggrin

Melissa,

I haven't seen the Potter movies but who knows what technology will bring us in the coming years? It is moving so fast it's hard to keep up. Sounds like a fun concept though.

A romantic trip to Ireland with your husband sounds perfect. Completely different from last time. Think of all the fun you will have searching for that perfect cottage. I do know of cottages where you can have breakfast delivered to your door. But alas they are not by the sea. They are set in a private gated estate with a walled garden and acres of walks. Also the best beds I ever slept in anywhere in the world. Or how about a cottage overlooking the Kenmare River Estuary? Or Dingle Bay? I even found one on an island right on the beach.

Have I whetted your appetite?

Michele

Oh, and don't forget to sign up for the free giveaway at www.IrishFireside.com The forum is glitchy tonight and I'm having difficulty adding hyperlinks.

Well Christmas is comming we have 1" of frost outside but no snow. The water is frozen, so its 1/4 mile to fill the bottles and water butt. Getting up early to get the fires going and the place warmed up, pour 1/2 a pan of hot water over the LPG cylinder outside so there's gas to cook breakfast, and the day starts.  Are you realy sure you want to be in an Irish cottage.

After 3 years in a touring caravan (trailer) getting the pace habitable, you bet I do.

Tony,

Hope you stay safe and warm over the holidays. Ireland and Europe has certainly been in the deep freeze early on this year. It has been unusually cold where I am in the deep south of the USA. We are expecting snow on Christmas. I think that's a hundred year event here.

I couldn't access your link but will try again tomorrow.

A nice turf fire and a cuppa sounds very good right now. Stay warm everyone!
