killarney to shanon

how long is the drive from killarney to the airport at shanon? I too am thinking of staying in Killarney but i'm womdering how long it will take me to get to the airport the morning of my departure.

Hi Ali,

Drive time from Killarney to Shannon takes approximately 1 1/2 to 2 hours, depending on time of day, traffic, etc. Generally, if you have a morning departure you should stay nearby and Bunratty is a preferred place to stay (just 10 minutes from the airport). Also, if you are taking a transatlantic flight international check-in is usually 2 hours prior to flight departure.

I had underestimated the drive time by a lo! I will take your advice and stay near Bunratty.

Yes, many people don't realize that it takes time to drive anywhere in Ireland. A common misunderstanding. I'm glad I was able to help.
