Our B&B reviews....

Achill Lodge - Galway (Upper Salthill)
Absolutely wonderful. This b&b was so comfy and the breakfasts were delicious. Key to front door so we could come and go as we pleased. Power showers, comfy beds. Marie and her husband were great. We stayed 2 nights and give our recommendations.

Milltown House - Donegal Town
Avoid. The breakfast was the only thing good about this one. The hostess had a few children who stayed up late, slammed doors and talked loudly throughout the house. Beds were ok, shower was way too small to barely even turn around in. They did serve us coffee and cookie biquits upon arrival. Won't be returning.

Keef Halla - Belfast (Nutt's Corner)
WONDERFUL!!! 2 queen sized comfy beds, shower AND tub. Key to side and front doors for private/quieter coming and going. Four star breakfasts. Very nice hosts, Charles and Siobahn, they gave us recommendations on where to eat and what to do. Internet/email access for personal use. Very professional. If ever in Belfast again, will be staying here. Credit cards accepted.

Ashgrove House - Bunratty
The most gracious of hosts. Frank and Sheila have the warmest hearts. Very cozy home. They are a real asset to Ireland. We had our own backdoor in our room with our own key. The only downfall I saw was no power shower. That is the ONLY one. Sheila and Frank greet you and welcome you into their home with an Irish coffee. They love to talk and to teach you about Ireland's history. They love to answer any and all questions. The most comfortable beds we slept on were at this B&B. If everything that we had encountered was awful (which it was NOT) and Frank and Sheila were the only nice people we came across... they would alone make another trip worthwhile. Wonderful breakfasts, I even enjoyed Sheila's pudding. :) A must stay.

Maybe some of you have stayed in any of these places, I would like to hear your experiences too. Also, maybe Michelle can give some of these a try on her next visit?!

B&Bs

TxDevil,

We stayed with Frank and Sheila last April and second your sentiments! The bed was like heaven when we finally fell into it in the wee hours (we were "having a few" at Mac's pub with our host). We had spent the previous night in Galway and the bed springs poked into me all night! I think we will probably stay there again if we make our October trip, although many here have wonderful things to say about Bunratty Lodge.

Hi Shawn,

Thanks so much for your B&B critiques. They are very helpful to everyone on the forum.
