Bunratty Michele, you truly are awesome! Thanks so much for your replies. I'm so anxious for the book to arrive. Since you suggested Bunratty for our last night, do you have a recommendation for hotels there? Thanks again.
I'm blushing! I would recommend two hotels in Bunratty: Bunratty Manor and Bunratty Castle Hotel. If you want a nice B&B I recommend: Bunratty Lodge and Headley Court.
reply And I recommend Ashgrove House. All on the same road as Bunratty Lodge.
Great hosts. Awesome breakfasts.

Bunratty Hotels Does anyone have any comments on or personal experience with The Courtyard which is on Main St. in Bunratty?
You will not be dissapointed. You might be a little taken aback by how happy and inviting these folks are. Frank will talk your ear off. He is a lovely man. This was the one B&B that I really felt "at home" in.
Tell them Shawn (the mail carrier) and her mom Janet from Texas say "hi".

The Courtyard Thanks, Michele for your info on The Courtyard. I may stay there, and if so, will provide some feedback in a trip report.
The Courtyard is certainly conveniently located. On the same side of the street as Bunratty Castle. The Bunratty Village Mills shopping is just across the street. The people that own the Courtyard are very friendly. I hope you have a good stay and will look forward to hearing all about your trip. When are you going?

Ashgrove House Hi Jennifer,
We too stayed at Ashgrove House with Sheila and Frank and can second Shawn's endorsement. We were welcomed with an Irish coffee, and felt very at-home during our one-night stay. At breakfast Sheila came in and noticed we didn't have our tea yet. "You just can't get good help anymore," she grumbled. Who was her helper? Frank! Our room was a bit on the small side, had to put one of our bags on the unused bed, which I try never to do. But it was clean and comfortable!
