Kinsale to Dingle Hi Michele, We are getting very close to departure date and needless to say, excited.
One day during the trip we are traveling from Kinsale to Dingle with a stop at the Muckross house. Now, we are interested in adding Kenmare to the mix for maybe lunch and a little shopping. I understand that one should be at the Muckross House early. So... should we visit the Muckross house first and then go down to Kenmare and then backtrack to Dingle or should we take our chances and visit Kenmare before the Muckross House? Is it possible to get both places in? I should probably also add that this will be on a Saturday.
I know how excited you must be getting about your trip. It will be here before you know it.
Much as I love Kenmare, in your case I would advise you to skip it. It is a small town and doesn't have all that much shopping. You can get that done in Killarney. If you take the main N22 from Cork to Killarney you should be there in perhaps 2 1/2 hours. Plenty of time for lunch in Killarney, a bit of shopping and to see Muckross House & Gardens. Then proceed to Dingle. Save Kenmare for another trip when you can take the time to enjoy it.
