Tipping B&B owners Just one more question ... at least for today.
I generally like to leave a tip at the end of a hotel stay. Does one usually tip the B&B owners? Especially if the stay was nice, I'd like to leave a little something but definitely don't want to offend anyone.
Thanks for the prompt responses to my other questions. As the trip gets closer, I'll probably have thousands more!

Re: Tipping B&B owners If it is a family operated B&B, I usually take a small gift (ie. being from Texas, I usually take a jar of jalapeno jelly or a jar of pecan pie filling).
Unless the B&B has a staff (most don't) you usually don't tip. If you have extraordinary service you can certainly leave a little gift. Or you can send a thank you card after your trip. Another nice thing to do for extra special care is to nominate the B&B for an award. You can do it through this web site: www.irishwelcomeawards.com/
You can also nominate people who help with your travel, trip, etc. in any way not just B&B owners.
