There are a number of them in Dublin and vicinity. The one of Grafton Street is the only one I've every used. Elsewhere in the North and the rest of the South, they are often part of a diverse shop -- Electronics, photography, video games . . .

Smartphones have a number of distinguishing features. The International Telecommunication Union measures those with Internet connection, which it calls Active Mobile-Broadband subscriptions (which includes tablets, etc.). In the developed world, smartphones have now overtaken the usage of earlier mobile systems. However, in the developing world, they account for around 50% of mobile telephony.
I usually carry a second phone, as well, that I load with a Tesco SIM, for the cheaper rates calling home, to the US -- and because it generally has better coverage, geographically.
