Camelot: Filmed in Ireland

There is a new Camelot series on Starz cable that is filmed in Ireland. I saw the first episode and recognized the Wicklow mountains, Powerscourt Waterfall, Dingle, Killarney National Park and Cliffs of Moher among others.

Could have done with a photo of the Castle on the Cliffs of Moher yesterday as an April fools prank...

Tony,

Thanks for posting the YouTube link. I should have done it but it was late and I must have been sleepy. It's interesting what they can do with digital photography nowadays. I'm sure the next time I'm at the cliffs Camelot will have disappeared. But it is a myth and legend.

John Boorman's Arthurian legend movie Excalibur (1981) was also filmed in Ireland; in County Wicklow, County Tipperary and County Kerry.

avalon,

It was indeed. There are so many movies that are filmed in Ireland. The country is a stand-in for many others including Scotland in Braveheart.
