Free day Galway area

I am traveling to Ireland with 2 teenagers next month.  I am looking for something to do around the Galway area for one of our days, we will be relying on public transportation.  Is there enough in Ennis to keep their attention?

Galway area?  Ennis might be a bit too far and wouldn't have much more for the 12-16 age range than Galway or Salthill unless there was something going on in Gloré.  Have you considered a river trip on the Corrib Princess. Or to the Burren for Ailwee Caves and the Bird of prey centre, Cliffs of Moher or the Aran's. or do they have a special interest possibly Horse riding, Surfing, Scuba diving or the like.

Donna,

Welcome to my forum. There are many different day tours available from Galway. As Tony suggested there is the boat cruise, walking tours of Galway, bus tours of Galway, tours to Connemara and tours south to the Cliffs of Moher and Clare. Also, trips to the Aran Islands. There is more than enough to fill your 4 days in Galway. See some links below.
