Sad Loss for Ireland Tourism: Pat Preston 1944 - 2011

Hi Everyone,
 
I have very sad news for you. My collegue and member of Circle of Friends here on the forum Pat Preston passed away on Tuesday May 17, 2011.
 
You may know Pat for her books, articles, tours, website and forum about Ireland. She was a dynamo at dispensing info about Ireland and sharing her love of her adopted country with others.
 
I met Pat and her husband John several times in Ireland. We communicated regularly and she was always generous to everyone with her time and knowledge.
 
She will be greatly missed. May Pat rest in peace with her beloved husband John, who passed away several months ago.

Michele, mo chara,

I am heartbroken! I knew that she had been struggling with her health after the stroke.

My prayers go out to her family. She is, indeed, walking the paths of heaven with her beloved John.

Suaimhneas síoraí dó, mo chara .. go bhfeicfidh mé arís ar an gcladach eile

(rest in peace, my friend..until we meet again on the other shore)

Thanks for taking the time to share the sad news. May Pat and John both rest in peace, and be remembered. I am glad that Pat was able to pursue her passions during her lifetime.

I sorry to hear this. I didn't know her but after reading the o bit realized she live just south of me. May she rest in peace.
