I thought I would pass along an interesting tidbit of news about Northern Ireland.
NORTHERN IRELAND SMOKING BAN
Minister of Health Shaun Woodward announced that Northern Ireland was following the Republic of Ireland's lead and would ban smoking in all enclosed public spaces as well as work places starting in April 2007. This will include pubs and restaurants.
I know I am looking forward to it. What a difference on my last trip when I crossed the border into Northern Ireland and had to face the smoke! It is so nice not to reek of tobacco smoke and then have to pack stinky clothes into the suitcase. I, personally, can't wait for the ban. Bravo Shaun Woodward!
Hurray! gosh Michele, I didn't realize they still allowed all that smoking in Northern Ireland. Here's to healthier air in the Republic of Ireland... Thanks for the good news.
