Hi, I'm a newbie at this site. We will be heading to Ireland in March 2012 with 7 in our traveling party. We plan on renting 2 cars to accomodate all of us. We are thinking about Dan Dooley. They charge 10 Euro per day for GPS in each car. Two people in our party say they have GPS on their phones and we should skip paying extra for GPS. I have never dealt with GPS on a mobile phone before. Do you think those will work just as well as the GPS in the vehicle?
Also I have tried the promotion code "irish dancer" on their website and it doesn't give a discount but "dochara" will give 5% off but only if picking up at Dublin airport. Does anyone know of any other codes that will take off at least 10%?
Welcome to my forum. The problem you might find with GPS on a phone from the USA, Canada or another country is roaming charges. They could be high. Your friends need to check out their plans to even see if their phones will work in Ireland at all. Then then have to find out the charges.
You are right. Irish dancer is no longer working. These things change constantly. Sorry, I don't have another code. If I find one I will post it here.
